Experience A Different
Approach to Teacher Training

Training Begins October 2026 | Graduation April 2027

Certification is the Outcome, Not the Purpose

Many teacher training programs are structured to move students through a fixed curriculum as quickly as possible. While that approach can lead to certification, it often leaves little room for the slower process of:

  • Developing a personal practice

  • Understanding the philosophy behind the teachings

  • Learning how to guide others with clarity and responsibility

Our program approaches teacher training differently.

The program is built around disciplined practice, close mentorship, and sustained study so that teaching grows naturally from lived experience rather than simply completing the required hours.

More Than a Certification—Here’s Why

subscribe-page-icons Learn to Teach Through Practice

From the beginning of the program, trainees begin practicing the role of teacher.

Teaching is not saved for the final weeks of the training. Students gradually learn to guide postures, communicate clearly, and hold space in the room through repetition, feedback, and observation.

Confidence develops through practice.

9-1 Our “Come Back Anytime” Policy

Our commitment doesn’t end when the training does. With our come-back-anytime policy, you're always welcome to retake modules, refresh your practice, and reconnect with the communityfor free.

This makes it not only the last 200-hour training you’ll ever need, but a lifelong resource for growth and belonging. Because once you're in the circle, you're family.

10-1 Depth Over Quantity

This program isn’t built for mass production—it’s built to help you become the teacher you’re meant to be.

Our experienced instructors, grounded in asana, philosophy, trauma-informed teaching, and personal development, will guide you through a profound journey that honors yoga’s roots while meeting the realities of modern life. You’ll leave not only certified, but changed.

Jordan Lashley, Burning Wheel founder and philosophy educator, brings depth, humor, and years of dedicated study to the history and spirit of yoga. Monique Allen, our resident anatomy and movement maven, makes the body make sense—safely, accessibly, and beautifully.

Together they provide a well-rounded education grounded in both wisdom and practical know-how, along with direct access to two seasoned entrepreneurs who share the real-world strategies and insights behind their successful businesses.

20 Discover Your Voice as a Teacher

Not every teacher expresses yoga in the same way.

Whether your passion lies in meditation, philosophy, sequencing, chanting, or hands-on assists, we’re here to help you discover your niche and grow it.

You’ll be encouraged to explore, reflect, and evolve—not fit a mold.

subscribe-page-icons (2) The Work Happens Live

All training sessions are conducted live and interactively because we believe yoga is meant to be practiced together. The community you’ll find here isn’t an afterthought—it’s the heart of the experience.

We understand that life can be unpredictable, so all online sessions are recorded. Still, we ask for genuine commitment, because the magic’s in showing up.

Inside the Yoga Teacher Training Program

This yoga teacher training program deepens a practitioner’s understanding of yoga and prepares them to guide others with confidence and integrity. Training includes posture, breath, meditation, anatomy, and traditional philosophy, along with the skills to observe bodies, communicate clearly, and teach safely.

This program is built on a few core beliefs:

  • Teaching skills are developed through hands-on practice.
  • Students are given space to develop their authentic voice and discover the aspects of teaching that resonate most deeply with them.
  • Depth and quality matter more than quantity
  • Yoga is meant to be practiced in a community
  • Once you join Burning Wheel, you remain part of the family

While the program fulfills the requirements for a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification, its deeper purpose is learning to live the practice and allow teaching to emerge from it.
